Rubén Hillar is a senior member of the firm’s Leadership & Succession Practice, based in Washington, DC. He works closely with clients across sectors and geographies, specializing in leadership development and assessment, organizational design and C-level succession. Rubén is a trusted client advisor, bringing more than 20 years of executive and leadership development experience to tailor effective solutions to talent and organizational challenges.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Rubén was a Consultant at a leading global executive search firm. In this role, he focused on leadership advisory work, including team design and development, executive assessment, operating model redesign, CEO succession and onboarding. Previously, Rubén was with McKinsey & Co., where he spent 12 years, first as a Research Specialist, then as a Knowledge Expert in Organizational Design. He began his career in business development in Argentina, then focused on executive and leadership training at the Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública in Buenos Aires.
Rubén holds a degree in music composition from the Argentine Catholic University (UCA) and one in International Business from the Argentine Enterprise University (UADE). He also holds an MBA in entrepreneurship and general management from Babson College. Rubén is conversant in several languages and speaks fluent English, Spanish and French.
