Michael Singleton
Michael Singleton is a senior member of the firm’s Nonprofit Practice, based in New York City. He works on high-profile executive searches across the impact sector, with a particular focus on cultural, philanthropic and educational institutions. Michael’s clients span the fine arts, performing arts, public media, natural history and science education, conservation, historic preservation and some of the most significant foundations in the United States. Michael has extensive expertise in contemporary art and campus-based museums.
With a focus on CEO and Chief Development Officer searches, Michael has worked with board search committees and senior management teams to recruit some of the country’s most impactful, next-generation leaders committed to furthering racial, gender and economic equity.
Michael is also a member of the firm’s Arts & Culture, Diversity & Inclusion and Social Justice and Philanthropy Practices.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Michael lived in London, working as Project Manager for The Rhodes Project. In this role, he focused on a research initiative exploring the experiences and trajectories of women Rhodes Scholars. Earlier, Michael worked in community and volunteer relations for the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC.
