Melissa Cameron is a key member of the firm’s Financial Services Sector, based in Melbourne. She has an extensive background in international finance and investments across a range of management roles, which provides clients with insights into leadership solutions and talent strategy. Melissa is a trusted advisor to both regional and multinational clients, and works closely with senior management teams on best practices, succession planning and the recruitment of top talent.

Previous Experience

Melissa joined Russell Reynolds Associates from BlackRock, where she was a Managing Director and Global Head of Product Strategy, based in New York. In this role, she was responsible for a global business focused on product development, fund structuring, client marketing, investor relations and relationship management. Melissa spent more than eight years with BlackRock in Hong Kong and New York, in management roles across human resources, marketing and global credit. She previously held senior recruitment and HR roles at Alliance Bernstein and Citadel Investment Group in Hong Kong. Melissa began her career as a corporate lawyer, before moving into investment banking at JPMorgan in Sydney, then to Investment New Zealand in New York.

Education & Affiliations

Melissa holds a BA in law, with honors, from the University of Tasmania and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) in Sydney. She was also admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania and Federal Court of Australia as a barrister and solicitor.
