Jeff Warren leads the firm’s Los Angeles office, co-heads the Private Equity Practice in the Americas and is a core member of the Financial Services Practice. He has held several leadership roles within the firm, including leading the Financial Services Practice in the Americas and the Asset and Wealth Management Practice globally. He is a member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners and has led search, advisory and succession engagements for a variety of firms, including financial services, investment management/alternatives, family offices, banking, fintech and real estate clients. He also frequently works with asset owners (including endowments, foundations and family offices) and private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Jeff's recent search assignments include CEO, COO and CFO roles for global investment/alternatives firms; investment and distribution professionals across PE, alternatives and multi-asset investment firms; chief investment officers for endowments, foundations, pensions and family offices; senior management roles for family offices; CEO, president and executive-level searches for financial services firms; and leadership searches across industries for private equity portfolio companies. His recent board experience includes working with publicly traded financial services and fintech companies, one of the world's largest investment firms around board succession planning/search, a private company to add directors with financial services and risk management experience, and several private equity firms and their portfolio companies to add advisors and board members.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1999, Jeff was director of business development for KSL Fairways, a wholly owned subsidiary of KSL Recreation Corporation and a private equity affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. In this role, he oversaw business development, acquisition, and strategic planning activities. Previously, Jeff was in the financial institutions' investment banking group at Merrill Lynch and, earlier, with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in leveraged finance and merchant banking.
EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS
Jeff received his BA in economics and political science from Vanderbilt University and his MBA in finance and entrepreneurial studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management. Jeff has served on the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Youth Association of Los Angeles and the Board of Advisors for Echelon Advisors. He is a member of the Santa Monica chapter of YPO.
