Jacob Martin is a member of the firm's global Leadership and Succession team, specializing in individual- and team-level executive assessment and organizational culture diagnostics. In addition, Jacob is a member of the firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Practice, where he helps design and administer organizational diagnostics for diversity, equity and inclusion in talent management. His recent work has helped clients define their current state and aspirational goals to enact sustainable strategies in these areas. Jacob has also helped organizations assess and redesign their recruitment, development and retention practices to reduce bias and maximize equity of opportunity for employees of all backgrounds. Based in Atlanta, he advises public, private and nonprofit clients globally.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jacob worked for the United Parcel Service's employee relations group, focusing on the design, administration and reporting of the global employee engagement survey. Jacob also taught courses on the psychology of cultural diversity at the University of Georgia. His past research focused on understanding and mitigating resistance to diversity in organizations.
EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS
Jacob received his BA in psychology and sociology from Wake Forest University and his MS and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Georgia. Jacob has presented his research and insights on diversity and inclusion at several professional association meetings, including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia, where he teaches a course on organizational training and development, as well as a member of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2021.
