Ernest Brittingham


Ernie Brittingham co-leads the firm’s Global Healthcare Sector. He is also a core member of the Private Equity and Board & CEO Advisory Partners groups. Ernie advises Boards and CEO’s on board refreshment, de-risking of C-level succession, new company formation and IPO’s, and improving team performance. He most recently led the global Medical Devices and Diagnostics Practice, which more than doubled in both consultants and revenue under his leadership. He has nearly two decades of leadership advisory experience and manages a number of the firm's key global relationships. Ernie is based in New York.

PREVIOUS EXPEREINCE


Prior to joining Russell Reynolds, Ernie spent 16 years in roles of increasing responsibility at the intersection of healthcare and leadership, most recently running the Global Medical Technology Practice of a leadership advisory firm. His clients ranged from private equity-owned companies to Fortune 500 companies. He is known for his integrity, candor and judgment, and most notably support of executives and companies over decades-long relationships.

Ernie began his career at a medical packaging company where he was part of a turnaround team in a fast-track management development program. While there, he held roles in sales, strategic marketing, operations, and M&A integration.

EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS


Ernie received both his B.A. in Communications and his M.B.A. from Loyola University.

Ernie is race manager for the Baltimore/D.C.-area Race for the Cure and is a supporter of numerous civic and charitable activities.
