Thomas Becker


Thomas Becker is a member of the firm’s Technology Sector and Board & CEO Advisory Group. Previously, he was country manager for the firm’s German operations. Currently, Thomas conducts senior executive and board director searches for major global organizations. He specializes in software, digital transformation, professional services, telecommunications and CIO/CTO recruitment. Thomas has completed numerous high-profile searches for CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs and CDOs across industries, as well as consulting partners and other top executive management and non-executive director positions for leading corporations, private equity and venture capital companies. Recent assignments have included close advisory work with senior leadership of global and domestic organizations. Thomas has also been managing the firm’s global relationship with two industry-leading technology companies. He is based in Frankfurt.

Previous Experience


Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates more than 20 years ago, Thomas spent 12 years at IBM. During that time, he held various sales and marketing management positions, including branch manager, financial services in Frankfurt and director of IBM Deutschland. In these roles, Thomas had national and international responsibility for major financial services clients.

Education & Affiliations


Thomas studied economics and computer science in Darmstadt and Mainz and graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt. He is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) in Germany, and a member of their European council. Thomas speaks fluent German and English.
