Charlie Watson


Charlie Watson is a member of the firm's Global Banking and Markets Practice as well as its Energy Practice. He conducts assignments for financial services clients, with a focus on banking, sales and trading, risk and commodities. Additionally, he has been instrumental in conducting senior-level assignments in the real asset sectors (real estate, energy and infrastructure), focusing on both direct investing and corporate development roles. Charlie is based in New York.

Previous Experience


Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Charlie was Vice President and Sector Specialist, Institutional Equities Product Marketing, for J.P. Morgan Securities Corporation. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Sector Sales Specialist, Institutional Equity Sales, for Deutsche Bank Securities Corporation. Previously, Charlie was an associate in Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette's Equities’ Research Department (later Credit Suisse First Boston). He began his career as Assistant Vice President, Private Banking Department, Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Division, at Chemical Bank.

Additional Professional Activities


Charlie is a regional representative and interviewer for The Taft School. He also sits on the board of directors of the Freedom Golf Association (FGA), a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to bringing joy and a sense of freedom to the special needs community through their inclusion in the game of golf. In addition, he serves on the board of directors of the New Canaan Lacrosse Association.

Education


Charlie received his B.A. in economics from Middlebury College and his M.B.A., (Hons), from Columbia University Business School.
