Rae Sedel

Rae Sedel is a member of Russell Reynolds Associates' Board of Directors.

Rae conducts board-level searches internationally for leading companies across a wide range of industries and on behalf of private equity/venture capital firms.  

Recent Client Experience

Recent assignments include high profile Board searches for a major high street retailer, a leading application software and services provider and a diversified communications and media company.  Rae also focuses on the recruitment of senior management for companies leveraging new technology in consumer and retail markets and in media and entertainment.  Her clients include some of the foremost providers of internet search engines, online retailing, home entertainment subscription services, mobile network services (both terrestrial and satellite) and mobile handsets and converged devices.

Previous Experience

Rae joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 1987 where she built and led the Technology Sector into one of the firm's key business drivers. She has served on the firm's Operating and Executive Committees, and until recently led all of the firm's industry verticals, which was a concept she developed.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Rae was with Pacific Telesis as Vice President, Consumer Markets. In this role, she was responsible for a staff of 13,000 handling more than one billion customer transactions annually through call centres and retail outlets.

Education

Rae received her B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, and her M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
