David Cookson

David Cookson is a member of the Financial Officers practice, specialising in the recruitment of CFOs, treasurers, group financial controllers, internal auditors, risk professionals and other related disciplines. Based in London, clients include public and private companies as well as private equity and venture capital portfolio firms. David conducts Financial Officers searches across all sectors but specialises in Financial Services mandates. He is a member of the Financial Services Sector and has worked with global banking and markets, consumer finance, asset and wealth management and insurance clients.

Previous Experience

Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2005, David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialised in audit and advisory work for various financial services clients. He then spent over a year with one of the United Kingdom's leading recruitment firms, where he managed the Finance and Operations team within their Investment Management division.

Education

David received his B.A. in history from the University of Reading. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
