Carl Schander

Carl Schander focuses on senior executive search and assessment assignments in the financial services sector; mainly within corporate and investment banking, private equity, asset management, as well as general and life insurance across the Nordic region. Based in Stockholm, Carl is also active advising clients across a range of sectors on corporate officer positions, especially financial officer positions.

Recent Client Experience

Carl's recent assignments include advising a leading Nordic private equity fund on a Partner recruitment. Other assignments include the recruitment of a Head of Strategy for a global leader in household appliances and a CFO for a leading North European Private Equity firm. Recently, Carl has also led the recruitment of a Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking Sweden for one of the largest Nordic banks and a CFO for a large cap private equity backed company on its way towards an IPO.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2003, Carl worked in the financial services practice of another global executive search firm, and before that he was a Financial Analyst, mainly focused on equity research and corporate governance issues, at Industrivärden, one of the Nordic region's leading investment companies, where he was responsible for coverage of the banking sector.

Education

Carl received his M.Sc. in economics and business administration from the Stockholm School of Economics. He is fluent in Swedish and English and understands French.
