William Henderson

William Henderson leads the firm's Industrial/Natural Resources Sector in New York, which includes the following areas: aerospace defense, automotive, building and construction materials, chemicals, energy, supply chain and distribution. He specializes in senior executive and director assignments for industrial clients like United Technologies, TE Connectivity, Alcoa and Tyco Fire & Security where he leads the firm's relationships. Additionally, much of his time is spent with private equity clients like Goldman Sachs, Centerbridge, Morgan Stanley and Altaris where he has conducted CEO and director search assignments.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1995, Bill was an officer of Hanson Industries, the U.S. arm of Hanson Plc, one of Britain's largest industrial companies. During his 14-year career at Hanson, he held several executive positions, including Group Vice President of the firm's industrial and building materials business, where he had responsibility for Hanson Industries' businesses, including Jacuzzi, Ames Tools, Kaiser Cement and Weber Aircraft. Earlier, Bill was with FMC Corporation, where he served as both a plant manager and division general manager.

Additional Professional Activities

Bill served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, both as a navigator in the Pacific and as an Admiral's Aide in Boston, Massachusetts.

Education

Bill received his B.A. from Denison University and his M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
