Sophia Liao

Sophia Liao is a member of the firm's Financial Services Sector Practice. Based in Hong Kong, she specializes in senior executive level searches across the financial services market, with particular expertise in global banking and markets, private equity and financial officers.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Sophia was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley. During her investment banking career at Morgan Stanley and previously at Deutsche Bank, she specialized in cross-border M&A with a focus on the energy and utilities, and general industrials sectors. Sophia started her career in London and has been based in Hong Kong since 2002. Sophia has worked with clients throughout the Asia Pacific region, and has spent extensive periods of time in China, Singapore and Australia.

Education

Sophia received her B.Sc. in Business Management from King's College, University of London and her M.Sc. in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol. She speaks Mandarin and English.
