Simon Black

Based in London, Simon Black leads the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Practice in Europe. He is part of the wider financial services team and leads Board and senior executive searches, succession planning and assessment projects across consumer and commercial banking, wealth management and real estate.

His track record also covers the full range of group corporate centre functions with a particular focus on operations and risk and in recent years, has worked alongside client firms on annual talent and succession reviews. Looking ahead, he is increasingly focused on positioning the CFS practice to cover the emerging talent across the convergence of payments with mobile and e-commerce technologies.

Previous Experience

Simon has 12 years executive recruiting experience and joined Russell Reynolds in 2004. He previously served in the Royal Navy. A former ADC to the Commander-in-Chief Fleet, his last appointment was as Commanding Officer of HMS Brecon.

Education

Simon received his M.B.A. from the Open University.  He speaks English, French and Spanish.
