Robert W. Mayes

Bob Mayes is a member of the firm's Real Estate and Financial Officers Practices. His focus in commercial real estate includes investment, portfolio and asset management searches for clients across the sector. In addition, Bob has experience conducting Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Accounting Officer searches across diverse industries. Bob splits his time between our Los Angeles and New York offices.

Previous Experience

Bob has more than 15 years of executive search experience. Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates, he spent nearly eight years at Ferguson Partners, progressing to Managing Director. At Ferguson Partners, a boutique firm focused within the commercial real estate industry, he conducted assignments ranging from Vice President to Chief Executive Officer. He served as co-head of their investment management practice, leading the firm's coverage of real estate-related private equity firms and institutional investment managers. Clients also included commercial developers, real estate investment trusts, real estate finance and investment banking companies, and residential land developers.

Bob joined Ferguson Partners in Chicago in 2001 and transferred to Los Angeles in 2005. Prior to Ferguson Partners, Bob was a Principal at a leading global executive search firm where he was a member of the Financial Officers and Private Equity Practices.

Education

Bob received his B.A. in economics from Bowling Green State University.
