Robert W. Macdonald, Jr.

Robert W. Macdonald, Jr. actively serves industrial, consumer and financial services clients as well as functional roles such as Financial Officers, Legal Officers, and CEO/Board Services. Bob is the North American Practice Leader for Industrial Manufacturing in the Industrial/Natural Resources Sector and Area Manager for the Twin Cities office of Russell Reynolds Associates. He has completed more than 340 searches at the firm.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1987, Bob was President and Chief Executive Officer of Health Systems Integration, a startup computer software company, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Dacomed Corporation, an implantable medical devices manufacturer. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Corporate Planning and Development for McQuay-Perfex, a manufacturer of industrial and commercial heat transfer products. Before that, he held senior finance and planning positions with Exxon in New York, Singapore and Seattle.

Additional Professional Activities

Bob was admitted to the Illinois Bar Association. He is a member of the development committee for Twin Cities Rise and a major gifts solicitor for the United Way.

Education

Bob received his A.B. from Kenyon College, his J.D. from the College of Law at the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. in finance and international finance from the University of Chicago.
