Renato Furtado

Renato Furtado is a member of the firm's Financial Services Sector. Based in São Paulo, Renato conducts assignments in the Global Banking and Markets, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, Asset and Wealth Management, and Real Estate Practices.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2007, Renato was a Director at Citigroup, where he has worked for 12 years and held various positions within the markets and banking space. Renato has originated, structured, and executed a number of high-profile corporate finance, credit, capital markets and derivatives transactions for top-tier clients in Brazil, in sectors such as power, petrochemicals, metals and mining, and beverage. Renato has also worked at Banco Nacional and Shell.

Additional Professional Activities

Renato is a member of Fundação Estudar and of Columbia University's Hermes Society, where he plays an active role in recruiting activities.

Education

Renato received his B.Sc. in industrial engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
