Peter L. O'Brien

Peter L. O'Brien focuses on CEO and board-level searches, as well as C-suite appointments, with a particular emphasis on supply chain management across a range of sectors. He leads the Asia/Pacific Distribution and Services Industries, and Supply Chain Management Practices. He is based in Sydney.

Previous Experience

Peter joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2007 from DHL, where he was the Managing Director of its independent Asia-based business operation offering fully integrated supply chain solutions to companies worldwide, from Asia Pacific, to Europe and through to North America. This business integrated the key capabilities of procurement, logistics and inventory financing, providing companies with direct access to Asian supply markets.

Peter previously held senior global supply chain management roles based in Europe with DHL and its parent, Deutsche Post World Net. These roles included responsibility for building DHL's global procurement capabilities as well as driving the overall strategic sourcing activities for the Deutsche Post World Net Group. Earlier, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and TNT Limited.

Education

Peter received his B.Comm (commerce) and LL.B (law), as well as his LL.M., master's in law, from Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
