Nalini Vasagam Perkins

Nalini Vasagam Perkins leads the recruitment of senior level nonprofit and healthcare executives across a variety of organizations, industries and geographies. She brings extensive experience in domestic and international executive search with a particular focus on nonprofit organizations including global development, relief agencies, foundations and health-related organizations. She recruits senior level executives for national and international health and welfare organizations, government contractors, cultural institutions, community service/civic organizations and professional associations, as well as hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers and other health care and general nonprofit clients.

Nalini conducts searches at the CEO, COO, CFO, and Vice President levels, as well as direct reports to these positions. She has also led numerous searches in the Programs, Resource Development/Fundraising, Finance and Human Resources functions. Nalini has worked closely with her clients as they create new leadership roles and on governance matters.

Recent Client Experience

Nalini recently recruited the President & Chief Executive Officer for a well-known international NGO as well as the Director of Maternal Health, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Health Systems Strengthening and Head of New Business Development for a US-based global development organization. Her recent work has also included the President & CEO of a $1B Humanitarian Aid and Relief nonprofit and the Vice President of External Affairs for a large NGO in the DC area.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Nalini gained several years of international executive search experience in two firms. Before beginning her career in executive search, Nalini spent several years with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in both Research and Clinical roles. She is published in the fields of eating disorders and long-term recovery, and the existence of genetic markers for schizophrenia.

Education

Nalini received her BA in psychology from The Catholic University of America.
