Lamees Al-Ashtal

Lamees Al-Ashtal specialises in senior executive and non executive appointments across the Middle East. Her clients include leading indigenous organizations, diversified conglomerates, family businesses, as well as multinationals with a presence in the region. Her assignments include Chief Executive, non-executive and general management appointments, as well as a variety of functional leadership roles. She is based in London.

Previous Experience

Lamees has 11 years of executive search experience. Most recently, she served as Principal in another leading executive search firm's Middle East practice. She expanded the regional client base, covering banks, diversified conglomerates, sovereign wealth funds and family businesses. Prior to that, Lamees was a senior consultant at a boutique search firm, specialising in board level appointments for FTSE 100 and 250 businesses, where she also co-led the Middle East practice. Lamees began her executive search career in the U.K. consumer and Middle East practice of another leading executive search firm.

Education

Lamees received her M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University and her B.A. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Assyrian and speaks basic German.
