Kieran English, based in San Francisco, is a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Not-For-Profit sectors. She specializes in recruiting senior executives for diagnostic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical-technology and not-for-profit organizations. She has notable experience in identifying C-level talent for emerging molecular diagnostic and personalized medicine companies.

Recent Client Experience

Kieran’s clients range from early stage venture-backed healthcare companies to a Fortune 500 company to prestigious cultural not-for-profit organizations. Some of her recent work includes recruiting the senior management team for a Series A venture-backed molecular diagnostic company, Senior Commercial Leadership for a publicly held molecular diagnostic company known as a pioneer in the space, Executive Marketing talent for a global diversified Health and Well-being Company, as well as the Directors of Development for three premier Bay Area Cultural Institutions.

Previous Experience

Kieran brings experience in biotechnology business development and strategic planning to her role at the firm. Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Kieran was Director of Business Development at Geron Corporation, where she was responsible for licensing deals. Previously, she was with Novartis/Chiron for six years; her last position there was Associate Director, Business Development Vaccines and Diagnostics. At Novartis/Chiron, Kieran focused on mergers and acquisitions activity in the oncology and infectious disease areas, licensing deals in the blood safety space and strategic opportunities in the molecular diagnostic industry. Earlier, Kieran spent a number of years as an analyst in a biotechnology focused hedge fund.

Education

Kieran received her B.A. in English literature from Manhattan College and her M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University.
