Based in London, Kai Hammerich has conducted numerous CEO and board-level assignments for major European and global technology clients. He has considerable experience in advising clients on how to align a company's talent portfolio with the overall business strategy and company culture. Before moving to London, Kai was responsible for opening the firm's first Nordic office in Copenhagen in 1997.

Recent client experience includes recruiting the board and chairman as well as most of the senior leadership team for a € multi-billion private equity owned telecommunications company, the CEO and several senior executives for the global market leading Web 2.0 communications company. He also works at the senior executive level for the world's largest mobile device and equipment company, and the world's leading hardware and IT services firm. In addition, Kai has also completed numerous board and CEO positions for VC backed and private equity owned companies. He is specialised in the communications, on-line and IT enterprise solutions space.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1995, Kai worked in the computer industry for 10 years, most recently for Apple Computer as the U.K. Regional Marketing Director, based in London, and as EMEA Marketing Manager for the Education Business Unit based in Paris. Previously, he was CEO and Partner in a venture capital financed software start-up company, Maconomy, which subsequently went public. Before that, Kai held various sales and marketing management positions at Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard in Denmark.

Kai received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his M.Sc. in economics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. He is fluent in Danish, English, Swedish and Norwegian.
