Joachim Bohner

Joachim Bohner works with boards and top-executives to design and execute tailor-made assessment programs, especially against the backdrop of major strategic and cultural change processes. Joachim has conducted a wide range of assignments for leading organizations in more than 30 countries, and advises clients across all industries on their hiring decisions, on senior-level succession planning, M&A integration, and leadership development. Joachim is based in Frankfurt and a member of the firm's Executive Assessment sector.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Joachim was the global head of management assessment at Mercer and a principal member of their human capital leadership team in central Europe. Previously, he was a partner with Oliver Wyman Delta and responsible for management assessment and senior executive coaching in Europe. Before that, he spent 10 years with the Hay Group in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for executive assessments, team effectiveness, senior executive coaching, and leadership development. He started his professional career at Wella in the executive development department.

Additional Professional Activities

Joachim has published a variety of articles and interviews on management assessment, senior executive coaching, talent management, performance management, and competency modelling.

Education

Joachim received his B.Sc. in psychology from the University of Konstanz and his M.Sc. (Diplom-Psychologe) and his Ph.D. in psychology from Technische Universität Darmstadt.He is fluent in German and English and has a working knowledge of French.
