Joachim Bohner works with boards and top executives to create tailor-made assessment programs against the backdrop of major change processes. Based in Frankfurt, Joachim works with clients across industries and geographies to help them identify, select and grow their senior leadership teams. He provides insight on C-suite success in hiring decisions, senior-level succession planning and leadership development. Throughout his successful career, Joachim has conducted leadership projects in more than 40 countries, including recent guidance to the chairman and CEO of a global player to identify potential successors within the organization.

Joachim previously served as the global head of management assessment at Mercer and was a principal member of the company’s human capital leadership team. Previously, he was a partner with Oliver Wyman Delta, where he focused on senior executive coaching. Before that, Joachim spent 10 years with the Hay Group in Frankfurt after starting his professional career at Wella.

Joachim received his BSc in psychology from the University of Konstanz and his MSc (Diplom-Psychologe) and his PhD in psychology from Technische Universität Darmstadt in the special research field of “improving technical products in computer-based environments.” He is fluent in German and English and has a working knowledge of French.
