Jin Zhang

Based in Beijing, Jin Zhang specializes in senior-level searches in energy, resources, agribusiness, automotive and manufacturing industries. He leads firm's energy and natural resources practice in Asia Pacific region. In addition to multinational clients, his client focus also includes Chinese state-owned enterprises and private companies.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jin worked for Halliburton as Regional Manager for their oil and gas information management business in Eurasia Pacific and previously as Country Practice Manager in China. Jin also held various consulting, business development and project management roles with Halliburton in Houston and served international and state-owned energy companies globally. Prior to that, Jin was with McKinsey & Company, where he advised some of the world's largest energy companies on energy trading, procurement strategies and performance management. Jin began his career with ExxonMobil as a Research Engineer in Houston and was later promoted to Group Leader.

Education

Jin received his Ph.D. and M.S. degree in nuclear engineering from Purdue University in the U.S., and his B.S. degree in physics from University of Science and Technology of China. Jin speaks fluent English and Mandarin as well as basic Spanish.
