Jan Alberdingk Thijm

Jan Alberdingk Thijm focuses on serving clients in the consumer goods, media and energy sectors. He has successfully completed a broad range of assignments for senior executive and board positions in these industries. In addition he has a particular focus on CFO roles. Based in Amsterdam, he serves global, European and Dutch clients.

Recent Client Experience

Jan’s recent experience includes the appointment of the corporate CFO for a leading telecom operator, the CEO of a large information services company and the Country Manager of one of the world’s most successful internet companies. In addition, he has worked with a large number of energy companies in the oil & gas, power and renewable energy sectors in shaping and creating senior leadership teams.

Previous Experience

Jan has more than nine years of executive search experience. Prior to his recruiting career, he spent six years in strategy consultancy with Boer & Croon Strategy & Management Group, managing projects for clients in industrial, media and consumer goods companies. He started his career at Royal Dutch/Shell where he held several marketing and sales positions.

Additional Professional Experience

Jan is on the board of a charity foundation that funds educational projects in Indonesia.

Education

Jan received his M.Sc. in business economics from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in both English and Dutch.
