James Davis

Jim Davis conducts senior level assignments such as CEO, COO and board directors for clients in the industrial manufacturing and distribution industries and co-leads the firm's Supply Chain Practice in the U.S. Based in Stamford, CT, he has recruited CEOs of supply chain companies, senior-level vice presidents and executive directors for logistics, operations, business process reengineering, global supply chain, procurement and technical operations.

Recent Client Experience

Jim's recent assignments include the CEO of a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment, CEO of a third party logistics company, CEO of a distributor of industrial gasses and a COO and several Directors for a large electrical distributor.  Additionally, he recently completed one of the top global operations roles for a $20 billion manufacturer as well as Chief Procurement Officers for several consumer and industrial companies.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 1998, Jim was Manager of the Operations Practice at A.T. Kearney, where he counseled clients on a wide range of business issues, from effective sales and distribution strategies to delivering optimal shareholder value. Previously, Jim spent seven years at PepsiCo in New York, most recently as Director, Logistics Consulting, PepsiCo Food Systems. Before that, he was a Group Manager with Pepsi-Cola International, overseeing operations development, bottling operations, and international logistics. Earlier, Jim had an 11-year long career with Procter & Gamble, culminating in the Logistics Manager position for its Bar Soap and Household Cleaning Products Division.

Additional Professional Activities

Jim is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and a conference presenter. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals is a nonprofit professional business organization of individuals throughout the world, who have interests and/or responsibilities in logistics and related functions.

Education

Jim received his B.S. in chemical engineering from Rutgers University and his M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business.
