Tao Li is a core member of the firm’s Industrial and Natural Resources Sectors, where he focuses primarily on energy and chemicals. He also advises clients in other areas, technology and consumer goods. Based in Shanghai, Tao works with both multinational and Chinese companies to meet their talent development needs.
Tao joined Russell Reynolds Associates from TE Connectivity, where he most recently served as General Manager for the energy division in China. Before that, he was a Consultant for Boston Consulting Group in Shanghai, where he advised both multinational and local companies in the industry and energy sectors. Earlier, Tao spent 10 years in Houston at Schlumberger, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including developing software platforms and managing supply chain.
Tao holds a BS in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an MS in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Houston and an MBA from Booth Business School at the University of Chicago.
