Boris Albers


Dr. Boris Albers is based in Hamburg, where he works with leading organizations across Europe in the Industrial and Energy and Natural Resources Sectors, including transportation, energy, utilities, waste management, manufacturing and industrial services. He also serves portfolio companies of private equity and other investors. Boris conducts leadership and succession projects, including people development audits and cultural and organizational advisory, extending these activities to digital transformation and merger situations.

Boris has recently completed searches for senior executives and for supervisory and advisory Board members. These have included members for the advisory board of a private equity company and searches for CEO, CFO, CHRO and CPO positions, as well as digital roles. In addition, Boris has recently conducted development workshops for individual executives, and has led advisory projects on succession, cultural and organizational topics, development audits of management teams and people assessments in merger situations.

Previous Experience


Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Boris spent four years as a Consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, where he developed long-term vision, strategy, new business models and organizational improvements, then supported the implementation of such projects. He advised management in industry, technology and financial services, focusing on companies in Germany, Scandinavia and Africa.

Education


Boris received his degree in physics from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster, and his M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in engineering and applied sciences from Yale University. He is fluent in German and English.
