Greg Blum

Greg Blum conducts senior level search assignments and executive assessment within the finance function for both privately held and publicly listed companies across various sectors, including energy, industrial, multi-unit consumer, consumer packaged goods and financial services. He also works with clients on assignments within other functional areas, including human resources, IT and operations. He is based in Dallas.

Recent Client Experience

Greg has conducted numerous assignments for CFOs, treasurers, controllers, internal audit executives, division chief financial officers and others. Recent assignments include a CFO search for a multi-billion, private equity-backed oilfield services company seeking a CFO with strong accounting and IPO experience, numerous public company CFO searches within the midstream and downstream energy sectors, and both CFO and divisional finance searches for domestic and multi-national consumer/retail organizations. Greg has also conducted numerous corporate development searches seeking strong talent within the investment banking space.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Greg worked in the Dallas office of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he spent almost five years completing management consulting assignments in various industry and functional practices, including significant work in the chemicals, industrial, consumer retail and mortgage lending industries. Prior to BCG, Greg worked in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen and also served as a summer associate at Goldman, Sachs in the Equities Division.

Education

Greg received his B.A., summa cum laude, in economics from Emory University. He received his M.B.A., with concentrations in finance and marketing, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
