Richard is a senior member of the Consumer Sector. He guides and advises clients on executive leadership, succession and recruitment and retention issues, with a particular focus on consumer products, durables and services, as well as private equity clients.
Richard also co-leads the Marketing Officers Practice for the firm. He recruits global marketing, digital, growth, communications and customer experience leaders for clients across consumer products and services, retail, financial services, health, industrial, technology and professional services businesses. He has led a series of high profile Fortune 500 chief marketing officer searches for clients seeking to transform or elevate the strategic impact of the marketing function in their enterprise.
Based in Chicago, Richard has also worked for the firm for a number of years in their London and Boston offices.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Richard was a Senior Associate in the Consumer, Media & Digital practice of Booz & Company, a global management consulting firm. He led a variety of pre- and post-merger integration, due diligence, growth and overhead optimization projects for consumer, retail and private equity clients in North America and Europe. He was also Campaign & Commercialization Manager for the firm, responsible for the marketing and channel strategy of the firm's intellectual capital. Richard began his career in executive search as a Research Consultant with Russell Reynolds Associates in London and Boston.
Richard received his B.A. in modern history and economics from the University of Oxford, Balliol College, and his M.B.A. in finance and strategic management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
