Ramón Gómez de Olea

Ramón Gómez de Olea is the firm's Country Manager for Spain, which includes the Madrid and Barcelona offices. He specializes in domestic and international senior executive searches with a particular focus on the technology, industrial and energy sectors.

He is responsible regionally for developing and executing major assessments in private equity acquisitions, PMI processes in large mergers and CEO succession plans for global corporations. Ramón has mainly conducted assessment projects in the financial services, industry and telecommunications sectors across Europe, USA and Latin America.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates 14 years ago, Ramón was a project leader at the Boston Consulting Group in Madrid for three years. Previously, he was with Elecnor, S.A., the Spanish Electrical Engineering Contractor, first as Caribbean Assistant Area Manager and later as French-Africa Area Manager.

Additional Professional Activities

Ramón served as an officer in the Spanish Navy.


Ramón received his M.S. in mechanical engineering from ICAI Engineering School, his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. from the Lauder Institute of International Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pennsylvania. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
