Charles ("Charlie") Falcone, M.D.
Charlie Falcone is based in Chicago, where he leads the Education Practice, including higher education, academic medicine and digital education. He also and advises clients in the Healthcare Sector. Charlie specializes in executive search and succession planning for senior leadership across the academy and physician executives, serving the entire C-suite. With more than 30 years of clinical healthcare and executive search/leadership advisory experience, Charlie is known for providing deep insights and serving as a strategic advisor to his clients.
Charlie spent 12 years with another executive search firm as Partner and the Managing Director for their Chicago office. In his role as consultant, he specialized in recruiting senior C-suite leaders including CEOs, deans, presidents, chairs, chief medical officers and board members for academic and non-academic health systems and health-related associations and societies. Prior to that role, Charlie was the Medical Director of operating rooms/surgical services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a Faculty Member at Northwestern University Medical School. He also served as Clinical Director for the Department of Anesthesiology. Charlie began his career on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Additional Professional Activities
Charlie serves on the Board of Trustees for the Field Museum, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Executives’ Club of Chicago and the Chicago Club. Previously, he was a former member of the Allandale Association board of trustees.
Charlie received his M.D. from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and performed his residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He earned his M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Charlie is also a board certified anesthesiologist.
