Brian Curran is a member of the firm’s Technology Sector, and a leader in the U.S. Software practice. He conducts a wide range of senior executive assignments in the global technology and financial services industries. His technology clients include publicly traded and venture capital/private equity funded companies, with a focus on global sales, financial, product, and general management functions. His financial services clients include leading private equity and investment banking firms working with technology companies. Recent engagements include the President for a division of a publicly-traded technology company, the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for a publicly-traded technology company, and the Vice President of Sales for a stealth-mode cloud software company funded by a top tier venture capital firm.
Brian brings more than 15 years of client-focused experience in capital markets, technology and professional services to the firm. He has worked for companies such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), KPMG Consulting (Bearing Point), KPMG LLP, Bay Networks and U.S. Venture Partners. As a senior member of the NYSE’s Capital Markets team, he was instrumental in growing market share in technology company IPOs. Prior to that, he provided strategic M&A, sales and business development advisory services to numerous emerging companies. Brian also led the successful sale of Pacific Edge Software to Serena Software in 2006, and of CrossLogix to BEA Systems in 2003. Early in his career, Brian served as a paratrooper in the United States Army, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

Brian is a member of the Navy SEAL Foundation Tribute Committee, which supports the Navy SEAL Foundation’s mission to provide assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.
Brian received his B.S., summa cum laude, in management from Menlo College, and his M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
