Amy Hayes is a senior member of the firm's Global Leadership and Succession practice. Amy advises boards and CEOs of leading global organizations on the creation and execution of leadership and succession programs to ensure high levels of corporate governance. Amy leads large-scale engagements across sectors and geographies for clients including Fortune 100, public and private companies. Her consulting centers around benchmarked talent assessments of and development planning for teams and high potential individuals. In addition, she leads talent assessments for M&A/Private Equity due diligence, hiring and promotions and advises companies on organizational change and culture initiatives. Amy is also a member of the firm's Diversity practice.
Recent Client Experience
Amy's recent engagements include consulting with a number of boards on their CEO succession planning processes and decisions about other C-suite appointments. She also worked with CEOs on several projects to help them better understand talent strengths and gaps in leadership teams as they sought to transform culture to better align with their corporate strategies.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Amy worked as a consultant focusing on coaching and leadership development, succession planning, selection decisions and strategic change management.
Additional Professional Activities
Amy is frequent guest speaker and her research has been cited in books and published in professional journals such as Directors and Boards and the American Psychological Association's Small Group Research. She has presented her research and insights on personality and leadership success at several professional association meetings, including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is a Director of the American Red Cross - Metro Atlanta Chapter and the Virginia Tech Foundation board.
Amy received her B.S., Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, in psychology from Virginia Tech, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Virginia Tech.
