Adela Yang is a member of the firm’s Leadership and Succession team, supporting the North American and Greater China markets. She helps companies identify, select and grow senior leaders to thrive and succeed for the long term. Adela's expertise as an industrial and organizational psychologist is focused on executive and leadership assessment, succession, development planning and executive coaching. Adela’s clients and her network spans across the globe and onto various sectors. She leverages her diverse experiences to help organizations identify and develop the next wave of top leadership talent to achieve strategic, sustainable results. Adela is currently based in Toronto.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Adela led the design and implementation of assessment centers and practices within the newly-established Talent Center of Sanofi-Aventis. There, she focused on designing and building the infrastructure to support strategic talent pipelines and further developing and implementing the organization’s culture. Previously, Adela was with Personnel Decisions International in Shanghai, where she provided advisory services and total solutions on the key issues of selection, leadership assessment and development, and succession management. Earlier in her career, she was a consultant with Young Samuel Chambers (YSC) in Hong Kong.
Adela received her B.S.S. (social sciences) in psychology from the University of Hong Kong. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Georgia. She is a licensed psychological professional and certified coach from International Coach Federation (ICF).
