Anthony Armstrong

Anthony Armstrong specializes in commercial, consumer, retail and media assignments throughout Australia and Asia. He also conducts marketing officer assignments across a range of sectors. Anthony has led searches for clients as diverse as fast moving consumer goods, hotels, casinos, global industrials and luxury goods.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Anthony was Executive Director of the Photon Group, a group of specialist marketing services companies that he managed from inception to its successful IPO in 2004 and beyond. During this period, Anthony was deeply involved in starting a number of these companies, as well as acquiring companies in diverse areas such as advertising, retail merchandising, media services, public relations, direct marketing, market research and e-mail marketing.

He was previously Managing Director at the J. Walter Thompson Co., responsible for running the Australian and Hong Kong operations. During his tenure, Anthony worked extensively in the fast moving consumer goods, retail banking, telecommunications and retail sectors.

Education

Anthony received his B.Ec. from the University of Sydney and his M.Comm. from the University of New South Wales.
