Alan Cork concentrates on helping clients find consumer and customer-focused leaders in a variety of industries.  He is a member of the Consumer Products and Services, Leisure and Hospitality, and Marketing Officers practice groups.  Alan is based in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Recent Client Experience

Alan's recent search work includes a breadth of assignments ranging from Vice President/General Management and Sales roles at consumer package goods companies, to placing marketing leaders in healthcare, durable goods and national retailers.  Alan also conducts searches in the leisure and hospitality space, with recent assignments for a leading global hotel chain and a global restaurant group.

Previous Experience

Alan joined Russell Reynolds Associates from the Opus Group, where he was a Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and led the start-up of the marketing function for this national real estate development firm.  Prior to that, he was a Vice President, Brand Management in Retail Marketing with American Express Financial Advisors, where Alan was a key member of the marketing leadership team and focused on bringing more consumer focus to this enterprise.  Previously, he was a Marketing Director, Snacks Division with General Mills/Pillsbury.  There, he was a Business Unit Leader for the kid's fruit snacks group.  Prior to that, Alan held brand management roles at Heinz and Procter & Gamble Company.

Education

Alan received his B.A. in German and economics, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He received his M.B.A. in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago.
