Abby Adlerman
Abby Adlerman leads the firm’s Private Equity Practice in the Asia Pacific region. She focuses on working with PE firms both for their principal needs as well with their portfolio companies in developing effective talent strategies. Related to this work, Abby is also a member of the firm’s CEO/Board Services Practice and frequently works with global organizations where cross-border experience is relevant. In addition, Abby chairs the Executive Directors, Researchers and Associates Committee for the firm.
Previous Experience
Abby spent the previous five years serving as the Area Manager for the San Francisco office and the last two years concurrently leading the Private Equity Practice in the Americas. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, she was a Managing Director and Partner at Perseus Group, an investment and merchant banking firm. Previously, she was the Chief Executive Officer of a PE-backed company for five years and spent 10 years before that at Hambrecht & Quist (now J.P. Morgan) in various management capacities, including Head of the Private Placements practice.
Additional Professional Activities
Abby is an ad-hoc Board member of the Bay Area Council, a public policy advocacy organization based in San Francisco with emerging relations in Asia. In addition, she has served on numerous private company boards in the consumer/media space as well as various not-for-profit boards, primarily in the educational field.
Education
Abby received her B.S. in engineering from Lafayette College and her M.P.P.M. from the Yale School of Management.
